Ripe Art started out as a full service faux finish company, offering framing services to its clients. Ripe specialized in problem solving interior decoration, using faux finish and creative paint techniques to create specialized environments. Ripe moved into it’s first location in Huntington Village, and a year later had outgrown it’s space. The Greenlawn location opened in September 2006, and has successfully grown each year. The main focus of Ripe now, is high quality custom framing, gallery showings of original art, and creating a community of artists and creative people.

Coming from a music background ( a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Ithaca College), Cherie got into the framing business in the mid-ninety’s. She enjoyed the work, and committed herself to learning more about high end custom framing, and art history. After four years in a north shore frame shop, she began taking as many part time jobs a she could handle in order to learn from as many master framers as possible. A few years later, she struck out on her own and started Ripe Art in 2004.
